Pickleball for a Purpose Tournament Scholarships: Registration is now open for the 2nd Annual Morning Pointe Foundation “Pickleball for a Purpose” Scholarship Showdown, taking place Friday, October 25, at Pickleball 706 in Calhoun, Georgia. The tournament will raise money for scholarships in nursing, therapy, and culinary programs across the Southeast, including at Dalton State College.
“This event is all about turning a fun day on the court into life-changing opportunities for students who will one day make a difference in their chosen fields,”
said Miranda Perez, executive director of the Morning Pointe Foundation.
Indoor Courts and Open Play
The tournament will be held at Pickleball 706, North Georgia’s only indoor pickleball facility. The venue offers eight climate-controlled courts and a full-service pro shop.
Players of all skill levels are invited to participate, making the event both competitive and welcoming for beginners.
Supporting Future Professionals
Funds raised will support students pursuing careers in healthcare, therapy, and culinary arts. These scholarships aim to reduce financial barriers and help students succeed in fields that serve the community.
The Morning Pointe Foundation hopes the event will grow each year, increasing both participation and the number of students who benefit.
