Twin Falls Unveils Bold Plan to Transform Harmon Park With New Pickleball Courts and Fresh Upgrades

Harmon Park Pickleball Court Expansion: Twin Falls could see more pickleball courts in the coming years as the city council has included new courts at Harmon Park in its tentative 2026 budget. The decision comes as demand grows, with the 12 courts at Frontier Park often filled with players throughout the day.

Local resident Christy Hodges, a regular player at Frontier Park, said,

“I come out probably four or five days a week. I love it. Community’s great, friends are great, an awesome way to get exercise and meet people.”

Plans for Harmon Park

Currently, Harmon Park has six tennis courts, but only three are regularly used. The other three sit on aging asphalt and need replacement. Parks and Recreation Director Wendy Davis said the plan would keep two of these courts for tennis and convert the third into four pickleball courts.

The renovation would leave Harmon Park with five full tennis courts, allowing for league play and tournaments, while also meeting public demand for more pickleball space.

“I really am excited about the fact that we’re giving this park some love,” (Wendy Davis).

Additional Park Upgrades

Harmon Park will also see the first phase of a skate park expansion, starting with new lighting.

“So the very first phase that we got funded on Monday night is the lighting phase,” (Wendy Davis).

Future plans for the skate park will be built in stages, and the city hopes to work with community partners to help fund these additions.

“To have some of these amenities that are aging and need a kind of facelift is really showing some commitment to this space,” (Wendy Davis).

The final decision on the 2026 budget will take place during a public hearing on Monday, August 25, at Twin Falls City Hall. If approved, the upgrades could offer more recreational opportunities and refresh a well-used community space.
