Regional Rivalries Heat Up: Kevin Chandler Classic Pickleball Tournament Returns to Leland This October

Kevin Chandler Classic Pickleball Tournament: The Cape Fear Pickleball Club will host the Kevin Chandler Classic – Fall 2025 Pickleball Tournament on October 25 and 26 at the House of Pickleball in Leland. The event will feature men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles matches for players of various ages and skill levels.

Tournament Schedule and Divisions

Men’s and women’s doubles will take place on Saturday, October 25. Divisions will be separated by age—12 to 49 and 50+—and by skill ratings: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5+.

Mixed doubles will be held on Sunday, October 26, with the same age and skill divisions. Players will compete in friendly but competitive matches, creating an exciting atmosphere for both participants and spectators.

Club Background and Mission

The Cape Fear Pickleball Club began in 2015

“to promote participation in pickleball … and to bring pickleball players together in the enjoyment of social events and friendly competition,”
