Fayetteville Aims for Pickleball World Record with Smash Tournament and New Courts Unveiling

Fayetteville Pickleball Tournament Wilson Park: Fayetteville has opened new pickleball courts at Wilson Park and will celebrate with a doubles tournament. The Fayetteville Parks, Natural Resources, and Cultural Affairs Department will host the event, called the Fayetteville Smash Pickleball Tournament, on Saturday and Sunday, September 6-7.

Tournament Details

The tournament will feature doubles play and will divide participants by age and skill level. Games will follow a round-robin format, allowing teams to compete against several opponents. Medals will be awarded to the top two finishers in each category.

Registration and Schedule

Registration for the tournament is open now and will remain available until September 4. The official schedule will also be released on September 4.

Community Significance

The event not only celebrates the completion of the new courts but also highlights the growing popularity of pickleball in Fayetteville. City officials hope the tournament encourages more residents to take part in the sport and use the new facilities at Wilson Park.
