Level Up Your Game: Forsythe Middle School Launches Exciting Pickleball Training for Teens and Adults

Forsythe Middle School Pickleball Training: A new pickleball training program, Pickleball 102, will run from September 15 to November 10, 2025, at Forsythe Middle School in Ann Arbor. The seven-week class is designed for 10th graders through adults who want to sharpen their skills and strengthen their game with the help of a certified instructor.

Class Focus and Training

The course builds on the basics of pickleball, helping players move beyond beginner-level play. Instructor Karel Gatlin will guide participants in refining strokes, mastering shot placement, and improving court positioning.

With structured drills and strategies, the program aims to give students both a workout and an enjoyable experience on the court. Players are encouraged to wear athletic shoes and comfortable clothing.

Schedule and Details

Classes will be held every Monday evening from 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at the Forsythe Gym and Forsythe Tennis Courts. The program includes seven sessions, with no class on September 29 or October 13. November 17 has been reserved as a makeup date.

Discounts for Seniors

Residents of the Ann Arbor Public Schools district who are 65 years or older may qualify for a 25% discount on one class per term. Registration for this discount must be completed by Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
