Huntsville Pickleball Courts Expansion: Pickleball players in Huntsville, Madison, and Athens now have several places to play, with six locations already open and one more on the way. From indoor facilities to outdoor parks, each site offers unique features, giving residents more opportunities to enjoy one of the fastest-growing sports in the country.
Huntsville Locations
The Brahan Spring Recreational Center in Huntsville offers one indoor pickleball court with permanent lines and portable nets. It is located at 3770 SW Ivy Avenue.
The Sandra Moon Community Complex features 12 outdoor hard courts with permanent lines and nets. Players enjoy scenic mountain views while playing at this site, located at 7901 Bailey Cove Road SE.
Madison and Athens Courts
A new community, Sanctuary at Indian Creek, will soon open two full pickleball courts for residents. The neighborhood is at 1763 Slaughter Road in Madison.
The Town Madison Wellness Center, located at 190 Graphics Drive, features 16 outdoor courts and three indoor courts. It is designed for large groups and competitive play.
PickleRoom in Madison offers a reservation-only, climate-controlled space with covered courts. It is located at 30175a US-72.
In Athens, the Athens Recreational Center has 10 hard courts, including two indoors. Courts have permanent lines and portable nets, and play is free. Visitors also have access to bathrooms, food, and water. The center is located at 21281 Sportsplex Loop.
Big Spring Memorial Park, known as “The Duck Pond,” offers eight recently renovated outdoor courts with scenic views. It is located at 350 Market Street East.
Bonus Courts Nearby
For those willing to travel to Decatur, the Jimmy John’s Pickleball Center at Point Mallard Park provides 12 indoor courts. The facility opened earlier this summer at 2900 C Point Mallard Circle.
More Courts on the Way
The Sanctuary at Indian Creek community in Madison will soon complete two more pickleball courts as part of its new amenities. Organizers shared: “Sanctuary at Indian Creek is reimagining rental life with its blend of home living and apartment perks. The newest amenities will be courts that look just like these pictured above. For a first look, stay tuned on our socials in September!”
