Epic Athletic Club Pickleball Tournament: A doubles pickleball tournament will take place on August 23, 2025, at Epic Athletic Club, 12801 West Sunrise Boulevard, Sunrise, Florida. Hosted by David Garcia, the event features indoor play with cash prize divisions, including a winner-takes-all $800 prize for the top Mixed team. Registration closes August 22, 2025.
Tournament Format and Divisions
Players can register for only one division. The tournament will follow a Set Partner Pool Play format, with the top four teams advancing to a Single Elimination bracket. Round Robin and semi-final matches are one game to 11, win by 1, while finals are one game to 15, win by 2.
Entry Fees and Cash Prizes
Fees range from $60 to $100 per player, depending on division:
$60 per player: Men’s 3.0, Men’s 3.5, Women’s Doubles 3.5, Mixed 3.5, and Mixed 3.5 (50+)
$100 per player: Cash Prize Mixed division for skilled players at 4.0–4.99 level
David Garcia said, “This is for skilled players who normally compete in 4.0+, 4.5+. Players don’t need a 4.0+ DUPR to register. Unrated is fine if you play at a 4.0–4.5+ level as long as DUPR is not 5.0+.”
Scheduling and Brackets
Match times will be assigned after registration closes, based on the number of participants. The bracket will ensure competitive matchups for all teams.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Refunds will be provided if a division is canceled due to low registration, including Swish fees. Withdrawals requested after August 20, 2025, will not be refunded. Swish fees are non-refundable for standard cancellations.
