EIE Pickleball Tourney Winners Celebrate Community: The Monroe Excellence in Education Foundation held its first pickleball fundraiser on Saturday, August 16, at Northeast Park on the new Colony Brands Foundation Pickleball Courts. The event featured 14 teams in the Co-Ed bracket and nine teams in the Family bracket.
Tournament Winners
Players competed through heat and rain to finish the matches. In the Co-Ed tournament, Steve Monte and Irene Barris earned first place. In the Family tournament, Jerry Bolivar and his daughter, Samara, took the top prize.
Winners received Monroe Money gift cards as prizes. First-place winners received $50, second place received $30, and third place received $20.

The Monroe Excellence in Education Foundation thanked all players, volunteers, and supporters for making the event possible.
