Village Park Pickleball Court Upgrade: Thiensville celebrated the opening of new sports courts on Monday evening at Village Park, 250 Elm Street. The project includes two new pickleball courts and one court that can be used for both tennis and pickleball. A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the official launch of the new facilities.
A Major Upgrade for the Park
The new courts replace older ones that had worn down over time. The village said the total fundraising goal for the project was $416,000. This is the second big project to open at the park this year, following the debut of the splashpad earlier in 2024.
Community Support
Village President John Rosing spoke at the event, highlighting the role of the Mequon-Thiensville Community Foundation. “This generous partnership with MTCF is a wonderful example of what we can accomplish together as a community,” John Rosing said.
Looking Ahead
The new courts give residents more chances to play tennis and pickleball. Village leaders hope the addition will bring more people to the park and support active lifestyles. The project also shows how community partnerships can lead to long-term benefits for local families.
