Florida Township Civic Center Pickleball Project: The Florida Township Civic Center in Rosedale is raising money to build two new pickleball courts and repair existing tennis courts at Rosedale Elementary. The project aims to provide a space for children and the community to enjoy sports. The fundraiser will continue until the goal is met.
Current Situation and Project Goals
Right now, Rosedale Elementary has no usable courts, limiting opportunities for physical education and community activities. The new courts will allow students to play pickleball and tennis during school hours and give local residents a space for recreation.
“My hopes are that the community will use this for all ages, so not only the children here at Rosedale Elementary get to participate in pickleball and tennis during their physical education classes, but it will also be open to the general public,”
said Makenzie Pollard, lead fundraiser member with the Florida Township Civic Center.
How to Support the Fundraiser
The fundraiser accepts monetary donations through cash or check at the Florida Township Civic Center. Organizers encourage community members to contribute to make the new courts accessible for everyone.
The project is expected to boost local sports participation, offer a safe recreational space for all ages, and strengthen community engagement in Rosedale.
