Quinn’s Junction Indoor Pickleball Facility: The Park City Council will meet Tuesday at City Hall to discuss major updates to the 70-acre Bonanza Park redevelopment and a new indoor pickleball facility at Quinn’s Junction. The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m.
Bonanza Park Redevelopment
Park City Deputy City Manager Heather Sneddon said the council met with Brinshore, the project’s developer, on Monday evening to review five acres of the site.
“The Bonanza Park Small Area Plan, adopted in July 2024, is the guiding document that aims to transform the Bonanza Park neighborhood into this walkable,
mixed-use community with increased affordable housing, more pedestrian, bike connections, activated outdoor spaces and local businesses and arts and culture,” (Heather Sneddon).
On Tuesday, council members will consider zoning code changes to help move the project forward.
Sneddon noted that the changes include adjustments to parking and public transit.
“It caps transient uses to boutique hotels with shuttles,”
she said on KCPW’s Local News Hour on August 25.
“We’re looking to really just develop this into a more vibrant district, as opposed to strong parking, commercial, industrial uses that exist there right now.”
New Indoor Pickleball Facility
Also on the agenda is a proposed partnership with the company The Picklr. The plan calls for a 12-court, 35,000-square-foot indoor pickleball facility at Quinn’s Junction.
The project would be a public-private partnership, giving local residents more opportunities to play the sport year-round.
Community Impact
If approved, the Bonanza Park redevelopment would reshape a large section of Park City into a more connected and livable community. The indoor pickleball project could also boost recreation options and support the city’s growing pickleball community.
