Dink District Pickleball Facility Myrtle Beach: A new indoor pickleball facility, called the Dink District, is scheduled to open in 2026 near Myrtle Beach. The 40,000-square-foot complex will be located at 200 Ronald McNair Boulevard in Carolina Forest and will allow players to enjoy the sport year-round.
Facility Features
The climate-controlled building will include 14 professional-grade courts, locker rooms, a pro shop, and a lounge overlooking the courts. A central “championship court” will also be built for tournaments and special events.
Co-owner Kerry Reynolds highlighted the benefit of indoor play.
“If you play pickleball outside, you’re getting hit with at least one of these factors every time you play. Inside, no problem,” (Kerry Reynolds).
Programs and Access
According to the company, the Dink District will be open to players of all levels. Memberships and walk-in play will be available, along with court reservations, leagues, and instructional classes.
The Owners
The project is a partnership between Ron K. Reynolds, M.D., who has lived and worked in Myrtle Beach since 1986, and his son, Kerry Reynolds. Kerry is a certified level 2 instructor with the International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association and has competed in many tournaments.
Ron Reynolds emphasized the importance of the new courts.
“We feel that all the things that we’re able to do are gonna be able to enhance that for this community and allow it to grow,” (Ron Reynolds).
Significance
The company views the project as a way to expand Myrtle Beach’s reputation as a leading sports destination. With pickleball recognized as one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States, the Dink District aims to meet demand and provide a year-round playing environment. Construction has not yet begun.
