About the World Pickleball Tour
The World Pickleball Tour is an amateur-only series. In 2024, it hosted 25 events and is scheduled for nearly 35 in 2025. Each stop is considered a “challenger” event, where medalists earn discounted entry to the 2025 WPT Amateur Invitational Championships. That national event will feature a $175,000 cash prize pool.
According to organizers, “We exist to grow the game at the grassroots level, and aim to provide high-quality, valuable, and memorable competitive experiences for you all, the amateur players. We look forward to seeing you at this event!”
Tournament Details
The St. Louis Smash will be played on 18 pickleball courts at the Missouri Pickleball Club. Events are divided into skill and age brackets ranging from 3.0 to 5.0, with categories for ages 19+, 30+, 40+, 50+, and 60+. A 70+ bracket may be added after registration closes.
The format will be round-robin, guaranteeing six matches to 11 points (win by 2). After pool play, single-elimination brackets will decide medal winners. The schedule will be released September 2, 2025, and matches will run in waves at 8 a.m., 12 p.m., and 4 p.m.
Events include:
Friday: Men’s singles and women’s doubles

Player Perks and Rules
All players receive a World Pickleball Tour Dri-FIT shirt and have results automatically synced with DUPR. Players can register for multiple brackets if match times do not overlap. Sponsored giveaways, including luxury bags and paddles, will also be raffled during the event.
Waitlist rules apply for doubles teams. If one partner does not register within two days, the first player will be moved to the waitlist. Brackets are capped at nine entries but can expand to 11 depending on space.
Refunds are offered as credits for future events, minus a $30 processing fee.
