Rally in the Valley Pickleball Tournament: More than 220 players will compete September 5–7 in the fifth annual Rally in the Valley Pickleball Tournament at Centennial Park in Salida. The event is hosted by Peak to Peak Pickleball Club and will feature three full days of doubles competition.
Event Details
The tournament follows a round-robin format and welcomes players from across Colorado and 12 other states. Women’s doubles will be played September 5 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., mixed doubles on September 6 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and men’s doubles on September 7 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Organized by Volunteers
Peak to Peak Pickleball Club, a nonprofit group, is organizing the tournament with the help of 60 volunteers. A press release from the club stated that the event continues to grow each year and draws strong participation from both local and visiting players.
Community Support and Future Plans
Admission for spectators is free, and food and merchandise vendors will be on-site. Proceeds from the tournament will go toward building at least eight new pickleball courts in a newly approved 30-acre park in Poncha Springs.
