Tringali Park Pickleball Beginner Class: Charlotte County Parks and Recreation will host an Intro to Pickleball class at the Tringali Park Recreation Center in Englewood starting Saturday, September 13. The class runs from noon to 3 p.m. and costs $2 per person. It is designed as a one-time beginner session for adults.
Learning the Basics
The class will teach participants how to serve, keep score, and play. Paddles are available for use, but players are encouraged to bring their own if possible. The goal is to help beginners build confidence and prepare to join games at the entry level.
County’s Perspective
“Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the country, and Tringali is excited to help residents get involved. Our Intro to Pickleball classes give people a welcoming space to learn the basics, build confidence, and enjoy the game both socially and competitively,” said Joele Kirkpatrick, Charlotte County’s Community Services coordinator.
Schedule and Accessibility
“To make participation easier for those with busy weekday schedules, classes are held on Saturdays,” Kirkpatrick said. Future sessions are scheduled for October 11, November 8, December 13, January 10, and February 13.
Community Impact
By hosting these beginner classes, Charlotte County is opening the door for more residents to join the growing pickleball community. The sessions are expected to encourage new players to stay active while connecting socially through the sport.
