Padeland Downtown Chandler Sports Hub: A new sports and lifestyle venue called Padeland will open in Downtown Chandler in late 2025. The 35,000-square-foot facility will feature padel and pickleball courts along with a craft brewery, restaurant, coffee shop, coworking space, and wellness areas. It aims to create a hub for fitness and social connection.
First-of-Its-Kind Venue in Arizona
Padeland is being built in the former LOOK Dine-In Cinemas location in Downtown Chandler. The site will include four padel courts, five pickleball courts, a full-scale brewery and taproom, as well as food and beverage services. The design combines sports, dining, and wellness in one space.
Co-founder Daniel Maldonado explained the vision behind the project. He said, “We set out to build something we couldn’t find here in the Valley: a fun social environment that blends movement, wellness and good vibes. Padeland brings together sport, community and great food and drink in a space that’s as exciting and inspiring as the game itself.”
What is Padel?
Padel is a racquet sport that originated in Mexico during the 1960s. It combines elements of tennis and squash and is usually played in doubles on a smaller court surrounded by glass walls. The International Padel Federation reports more than 30 million players in over 140 countries.
While pickleball has grown quickly in the United States, padel has become the fastest-growing sport globally. Padeland plans to lead its expansion in Arizona, introducing it to a community that values wellness and recreation.
Lifestyle Beyond the Courts
Padeland will feature more than sports. Guests will have access to recovery services such as cold plunge therapy, a sauna, and relaxation tools. A coworking lounge will provide space for remote workers. Food and drink options will include a modern restaurant, coffee bar, and craft brewery.
For convenience, the location will also have access to a five-story covered parking garage. The goal is to create a place where people can play, relax, work, and socialize in the same venue.
Expansion Plans Ahead
The Chandler site is the first of several planned Padeland facilities in the region. Each future venue will reflect the unique character of its local community while maintaining the brand’s values of excellence, inclusivity, and global inspiration.
What It Means for Chandler
Padeland brings a new concept to Arizona by combining sports with social and lifestyle amenities. It is expected to draw interest not only from pickleball and padel players but also from those looking for new ways to connect, work, and relax. Its opening could spark wider growth of padel in the U.S.
