Palm Desert Advanced Pickleball Clinics: Palm Desert will offer group pickleball clinics for intermediate to advanced players from October 3 to October 24 at the Palm Desert Civic Center Park, 43900 San Pablo Avenue. Sessions are led by instructor Mary Barsaleau and run every Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Clinic Details
The clinics focus on developing players’ depth, variety, and net play. Participants should have dependable strokes with directional control on medium-paced and some faster shots. Clinics will teach the “third shot drop” and encourage mixing dinks, soft shots, faster shots, angles, and lobs to enhance competitive skills.
Drop-in participants can attend with prior approval from the instructor. Attendees must present a receipt on the day of the clinic to confirm payment.
Skill Development and Goals
Players will work on group drills to improve shot accuracy and strategic play. Emphasis will be placed on aggressive net approaches, combining pace, angles, and variety. The clinics aim to strengthen participants’ overall game while preparing them for higher-level play in tournaments or recreational competition.
