The National Mall of Pickleball is returning to Washington, D.C., from Friday, September 19, through Sunday, September 21. The event will take place on 12th Street at the National Mall, near the Smithsonian Metro. Participants can compete on the courts, join lessons and clinics, or watch games from the stands.
Registration and Court Access
Beginning September 10 at 12:00 p.m. ET, a limited number of courts and clinics were available for advance reservations through the National Mall of Pickleball’s Pickleball Den club page. Walk-on play is also available for those without reservations. The event features on-site pickleball lessons, clinics, and chances to cheer for players.

The 2025 National Mall of Pickleball includes several tournaments and special events:
Friday, September 19
Opening Ceremony: 10:30–11 a.m. ET
In the Kitchen: 11 a.m.–1 p.m. ET, presented by the Humana Foundation with the Emeril Lagasse Foundation, featuring DMV schools in a cooking activity
DMV Invitational Tournament Semifinals & Finals: 2–3 p.m. ET (side courts from 12–1 p.m.)
Media Match Semifinals & Finals: 5–6 p.m. ET (side courts from 4–5 p.m.)
Saturday, September 20
Veteran Volley Semifinals & Finals: 10–11 a.m. ET (side courts from 9–10 a.m.)
Ultimate Duo Semifinals & Finals: 12–1 p.m. ET (side courts from 10–11 a.m.)
Changemaker Cup Semifinals & Finals: 2–3 p.m. ET (side courts from 1–2 p.m.)
Sunday, September 21
Pro Showcase: 11 a.m.–12 p.m. ET, featuring pros from the Association of Pickleball Players and the D.C. Pickleball Team
Closing Ceremony: 12–1 p.m. ET
Daily activities include raffles to play with pros, lessons, clinics, walk-on play, and “knock out” rounds.
Special Participants
Eight pairs of America’s Ultimate Pickleball Duos will compete on center court. These duos have inspiring stories showing how pickleball has helped them build friendships, improve fitness, or strengthen mental resilience.
Community Support
Participants are invited to make gifts to the Trust for the National Mall to help support programming and preserve the space for future generations. Attendees can sign up for updates on court times, clinics, and other events.
