Supporting Local Children
Jane Ervin, chair of The Fund to Benefit Children & Youth board, said,
“Pickleball for a Purpose is more than just a tournament. It’s a celebration of community, as well as a way to help a critical local nonprofit continue to help local kids who have no other way to get items like beds, enrichment opportunities, or utility assistance.”
The Fund to Benefit Children & Youth has supported abused, neglected, and at-risk children in the Lehigh Valley for 34 years. In the past 12 years, the organization has provided more than $2 million in assistance to over 16,000 children, funding essential items such as beds, summer camps, and air conditioners for children with asthma.
Impact of the Event
Pickleball for a Purpose combines fun and philanthropy, giving participants a chance to compete in sports while supporting children in need. Events like this help strengthen the community and ensure local kids have access to resources and opportunities they might otherwise miss.
