Sedalia Parks Pickleball Classes 2025: Sedalia Parks and Recreation will host a series of pickleball classes for adults at the Heckart Community Center, 1800 West 3rd Street. Classes start in early October and are designed for players of different skill levels. Space is limited, and all participants must be ages 18 and older.
Crash Course for Beginners
A crash course will take place on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The $10 class will cover paddle grip, court positioning, basic shots, and other essential skills for new players.
Beginner and Intermediate Courses
The beginner course will run every Monday and Thursday starting October 6, 2025, for six weeks, excluding the week of October 13. Classes will be held from 9 – 10 a.m. in the Convention Hall at a cost of $50 per person.
The intermediate course will also meet every Monday and Thursday from October 6 for six weeks. Classes run from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Convention Hall and cost $75 per person.
Open Play Opportunities
Open play will be available Monday through Friday from 12 – 3 p.m. and Monday evenings from 6 – 8 p.m. Players of all ages can participate, but anyone 14 or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
These classes and open play sessions aim to provide opportunities for Sedalia residents to learn pickleball, improve skills, and stay active.
