Courts & Pints Grand Opening Event: Courts & Pints in Moorhead officially opened all its facilities this weekend, marking the full launch of the restaurant, play area, pro shop, and 15 indoor pickleball courts. The 60,000-square-foot facility also offers 8 bean bag lanes free for everyone to enjoy.
Full Operations Launch
While some courts had been open for months, this was the first day all operations ran together. Visitors could play pickleball free of charge, and introductory lessons were offered for five dollars.
Transformation of the Space
The building on 8th Street S. was formerly a Family Fare supermarket. Owner Kelly Lancaster said,
“We started laying out tape to understand where the courts would be, and we moved some of that tape around to reconfigure things to get really the most out of this space that we could. To see this come to fruition, it’s really rewarding, that’s for sure.”
Owner Jon Norberg added,
“We reinvented the building. We upcycled it. We took this building that was needing a lot of love. It’s turned out great. It’s turned out better than I thought it would. It’s awesome.”
Community and Recreation
In addition to the pickleball courts, Courts & Pints features a pro shop, a restaurant, and a play area. The facility provides multiple options for recreation, making it a new hub for sports and social activities in the Moorhead area.
