Palm Beach Amateur Open: Where Every Match Could Make You Money

Palm Beach Amateur Open 2025: The Palm Beach Amateur Open will take place on September 20 and 21, 2025, at Palm Beach Gardens Pickleball in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The event is part of the Amateur Pickleball Association tour and is open to players of all skill levels, from 2.5 to 5.0. Registration closes on September 17 at 8:00 a.m. EST, with a $75 entry fee.

Presented by the Amateur Pickleball Association, this tournament is one of nearly 150 scheduled across the nation in 2025. The organization also offers PicklePerks, a program that rewards players with credits they can use toward future events or apparel. The Palm Beach event is expected to bring a large turnout of amateur athletes looking for competition and rewards.

Tournament Format and Events

The competition will follow a round-robin format with bracket play to determine winners. Most players can expect to compete in seven to nine games over the weekend. Events will be sorted by skill level first and then by age group, depending on registration numbers.

Saturday’s schedule will feature doubles starting at 8 a.m., while mixed doubles will be held Sunday beginning at the same time. Singles matches will take place in the afternoons on either day. A six-game minimum is guaranteed, with each round-robin game played to 11 points, win by 2. Bracket play will follow round-robin results.

Registration and Policies

Early registration costs $75 for the first event, $55 for the second, and $35 for the third event, with a promo code required for the third discount. All players are expected to register at their proper skill level based on DUPR ratings, and the Amateur Pickleball Association will move players if necessary to prevent mismatches.

Once payment is processed, registrations are final. Players who withdraw two or more weeks before the tournament start date will receive credit toward a future event. Outdoor events affected by weather will not have indoor alternatives. Players who do not compete due to rain will receive a 50% credit if no matches are played.

Prize Money and Open Divisions

The tournament will also feature open cash prize divisions for doubles. These divisions will be available to players of any age or skill level. Teams in a sold-out division can win up to $1,000 for gold, $600 for silver, and $400 for bronze.

Significance of the Event

The Palm Beach Amateur Open highlights the growth of amateur pickleball in Florida and across the nation. With prize money, guaranteed play, and programs like PicklePerks, the Amateur Pickleball Association is offering players more than just competition—it is creating a pathway for community engagement and future opportunities in the sport.
