Brigette Farwaha and her uncle, Greg Louie, are launching an indoor pickleball club in Las Vegas. The facility will be part of the Dill Dinkers franchise, with plans to open 20 locations across the area by early 2026. Their goal is to offer a safe, fun, and inclusive space for pickleball players.
From Passion to Business
Brigette Farwaha, assistant director of facilities at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Student Recreation & Wellness Center, introduced Greg Louie to pickleball. Both shared a love for sports and became hooked on pickleball after competing on a reality show and hosting a podcast called “Third Shot.”
“It’s been wonderful because it’s kept us in contact with one another and helped us grow our passion for the sport and for increasing the community around the sport,” said Brigette Farwaha. “(That) led us to this new business idea of developing this pickleball facility.”
Dill Dinkers Expansion
Greg Louie, founder and CEO of a marketing company, said they plan to run their own Dill Dinkers location while franchising other locations. The indoor clubs will vary in the number of courts, hosting lessons, clinics, corporate events, tournaments, and leagues for all skill levels.
“You’re greeted with smiles,” said Greg Louie. “You’re going to have a good time. When you come to a Dill Dinkers location, whether it’s ours or any of the Dill Dinkers across the country right now, you are guaranteed to have a fantastic time because that’s our main focus. And I think that’s different than a lot of other places.”
Why Indoor Facilities Matter
Las Vegas’ desert heat can make outdoor play difficult. Indoor courts allow players to enjoy the game anytime, without worrying about heat, wind, or season. The duo believes providing a temperature-controlled environment will attract local players and traveling visitors.
“It’s pretty cool to be able to hear from other people in the community just how excited they are,” said Brigette Farwaha. “Because that’s really what’s driving us to open Dill Dinkers — is because we want to provide this service and this place for all these great people who want to play pickleball.”
The Growth of Pickleball
Greg Louie noted that Las Vegas hosts top professional tournaments, but many entertainment and golf venues lack pickleball options. Dill Dinkers will give both locals and travelers easy access to the sport. Brigette Farwaha said pickleball has grown because it is inclusive, low impact, easy to learn, and offers social and health benefits.
“I think that all of those combined (have) helped contribute to the growth of it,” said Brigette Farwaha. “And it’s just so much fun to play — getting out there and building those connections. There’s a great social aspect to the sport. It’s not just a solo sport. You’re out there with so many other people, sharing titles and sharing stories and just being able to connect.”
