The third annual National Mall of Pickleball begins this weekend from Friday, September 19, to Sunday, September 21. Eleven temporary pickleball courts will be set up on the National Mall near 12th Street, by the Smithsonian Metro station, for players of all ages to join the action.

How to Reserve a Court
Online reservations for the courts opened on September 10. While many slots are already taken, players can still join a waitlist. If a cancellation occurs, waitlisted participants will be notified so they can claim an open spot.
Walk-On Play Options
For those without reservations, walk-on play is available. Select courts will be set aside for players who arrive without a booking. Upon reaching the National Mall, attendees can check in at the registration table. A representative of the National Mall of Pickleball will then add them to the walk-on rotation.
Extra Activities at the Event
In addition to court play, a clinic led by the D.C. Pickleball Team will introduce new players to the basics of the game. Equipment will be provided, so participants only need to bring an ID, sneakers, and comfortable activewear. Food will not be sold at the event, but nearby food trucks will be open to visitors.
