Cheerful Home Pickleball Fundraiser Event: The third annual Cheerful Home Pickleball Tournament will take place Saturday at Upper Moorman Park in Quincy, Illinois. The event begins with registration at 8:30 a.m., followed by games shortly after. Teams of two can join for $80 per team, with all proceeds benefiting Cheerful Home Child Care and Early Learning Center’s summer programs.
Event Details and Format
The tournament offers two divisions of play: recreational and competitive. All matches will follow a round-robin format, giving each team several games to play. The $80 registration fee is non-refundable and includes a hand towel, food, and entry to the event. TI Trust is the presenting sponsor of this year’s tournament. If bad weather occurs, Cheerful Home Child Care and Early Learning Center will provide a new date or a different location.
Support for Local Families
Ryan A. Niekamp, Board President of Cheerful Home Child Care and Early Learning Center, highlighted the center’s role in the community.
“Cheerful Home has long been a cornerstone of our community and proudly holds the distinction of being the oldest non-profit child care center in Illinois. We serve 160 children locally,
and through the generosity of our partners, we’re able to offer a sliding fee scale that helps make high-quality care accessible for families,” (Ryan A. Niekamp).
Community Impact
Ryan A. Niekamp explained how the fundraiser benefits children.
“Our annual Pickleball Fundraiser directly supports enriching activities for our children—whether it’s outdoor learning, exploring wetlands, visiting museums, or countless other experiences. We’re truly grateful for the continued support that makes this possible,” (Ryan A. Niekamp).
The funds raised will help provide programs that give children hands-on learning opportunities during the summer.
