Columbus Launches Inclusive Pickleball Program Empowering Adults With Disabilities

Adaptive Pickleball Program Columbus Adults: Adults with physical or intellectual disabilities can join Adaptive Pickleball at the Espy Adaptive Sports Complex in Columbus. The program runs from September 18, 2025, to November 20, 2025, every Monday and Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. It offers a safe, supportive environment to learn and play pickleball.

Program Details and Purpose

Adaptive Pickleball is a fun, fast-paced sport combining elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong. Sessions focus on fitness, hand-eye coordination, teamwork, and skill-building, while providing opportunities for social interaction and friendly competition. The program welcomes both beginners and players with some experience.

Taylor Mack, program instructor, said the sessions aim to create an inclusive space where adults can stay active and enjoy the game.

Participation and Support

Participants under 18 or those needing one-on-one support for personal care or behavior must have caregivers on-site for the duration of the program.
