Fitchburg Pickleball Skills & Drills Session: A pickleball skills and drills session for intermediate players will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at McGaw Pickleball Court #6, 5236 Lacy Road, Fitchburg, Wisconsin. The session is designed for players rated 3.0-3.49.
Training Focus and Instructors
The session, part of CAPA’s Skills & Drills program, will focus on third-shot strategy, driving, dropping, and lobbing after the serve and return. Participants will also practice blocking shots and learn techniques to beat aggressive players. The Lobster ball machine will provide repeated practice opportunities.
Instructors Steve Streck and Michael Kratz will lead the session. Players must agree to the CAPA Participant Waiver before attending. Those unable to attend are asked to find a substitute, or they may be excluded from future sessions.
Locations and Open Play Opportunities
The program will utilize McGaw Pickleball Courts #6, #7, and #8. The Fitchburg Pickleball Advisory Committee (MPAC) invites volunteers to help maintain courts, organize events, support open play, and provide coaching for beginners.
Community Impact
This session offers intermediate players a chance to improve skills, gain practice with advanced drills, and connect with the Fitchburg pickleball community. Participation strengthens the sport locally while encouraging teamwork, technique development, and volunteer engagement.
