Pickle Point Ignites Lethbridge with Record-Breaking Pickleball Tournament This Weekend

Pickle Point Pickleball Tournament Lethbridge: Pickle Point, southern Alberta’s first indoor pickleball facility, is hosting a large tournament this weekend with over 140 players registered. The Pickle Point X Lethbridge Pickleball Club-September Sanctioned event will take place on Pickle Point’s eight indoor courts, featuring men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles.

Showcasing Pickleball Growth in Lethbridge

The tournament, organized by Pickle Point and the Lethbridge Pickleball Club, highlights the growing popularity of pickleball in southern Alberta. Adriana Mercader, founder of Pickle Point, said,

“The fact so many players are coming from outside the city shows the impact pickleball can have on bringing people together and highlighting Lethbridge as a hub for sport.”

Tournament Schedule and Activities

The competition begins today with men’s and women’s doubles and continues tomorrow with mixed doubles matches. Diego Vazquez, general manager of Pickle Point, said,

“I want to personally invite everyone to come out and watch—even if you’re not playing, you’ll have a great time experiencing the energy and excitement.”

Community and Facility Impact

In addition to the matches, the tournament will feature a concession with a licensed bar, popshop specials, and a lively community atmosphere. Diego Vazquez emphasized that events like this not only showcase Pickle Point but also present Lethbridge as a vibrant center for sport and community activities.
