Game On: Edmonson County Unveils Plans for New Pickleball Courts at Chalybeate Sports Complex—Bids Now Open

Chalybeate Sports Complex Pickleball Courts: The Edmonson County Fiscal Court and Parks Department are accepting bids for new pickleball courts at the Chalybeate Sports Complex in Brownsville, Kentucky. Bids must be submitted by October 14, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., with public opening and reading during the Fiscal Court meeting at 4:00 p.m. the same day.

Scope of Work

The project includes excavation of the proposed site, installation of a 6-inch compacted stone base, 2-inch compacted asphalt surface, rubberized sports coating, court striping, and posts and nets. All labor, materials, and equipment needed to complete the project are part of the bid requirements.

How to Submit a Bid

Bid packets can be picked up at the Edmonson County Courthouse, 110 E. Main Cross Street, Brownsville, KY 42210, or requested via email from Tammi Willhite. Questions about the project can be directed to Cody Stewart at 270-246-1510.

All bids must be in a sealed envelope labeled “Pickleball Court Bid” and addressed to Tammi Willhite, County Treasurer. Bids may be mailed to PO Box 353, Brownsville, KY 42210, or delivered to the Judge Executive’s Office at the courthouse. The Fiscal Court reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
