Palm Desert Launches Free Adaptive Pickleball Program—Empowering All Abilities This October

Adaptive Pickleball Program Palm Desert: Palm Desert Civic Center Park will host an Adaptive Pickleball program every Thursday from October 2 to October 30, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. The program is designed for individuals with disabilities and special needs to improve hand-eye coordination and pickleball skills.

Program Details and Participation

Participants will practice skills through drills and gradually move to game play. Players can join standing or seated, with sports chairs available if needed. The program is free with an adaptive program membership. Families are encouraged to attend and provide support.

Those attending should bring closed-toed shoes, a hat, water, and a pickleball paddle if they have one. Before the first session to ensure the correct size chair is available.

Registration and Requirements

All participants must complete an additional information form and the standard waiver prior to attending. Forms are available for download on the Desert Recreation District website. The program is open to all ages and will be held on the outdoor pickleball courts at 43900 San Pablo Avenue, Palm Desert, California, 92260.
