Pickleball Pop-Up Events for Seniors: Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM), a leading health and well-being company, is hosting a series of pickleball pop-up events this October to encourage older adults to stay active and connected. The events will take place at malls in Schaumburg, Illinois; Indianapolis, Indiana; and St. Petersburg, Florida.
Humana’s pop-ups are part of its “Invite” campaign, designed to transform three Simon® mall locations into spaces for movement, play, and community connection. The initiative builds on Humana’s focus on lifestyle medicine, which promotes physical activity, social engagement, and mental health.
Event Schedule and Locations
The pickleball pop-ups will run on the following dates:
October 18 at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Illinois
October 20 at Greenwood Park Mall in Indianapolis, Indiana
October 25 at Tyrone Square in St. Petersburg, Florida
Activities On and Off the Court
Humana has partnered with the Association of Pickleball Players (APP) and Humana coaches to provide clinics for beginners and experienced players. Participants can enjoy reserved court play or open walk-on sessions. Off the court, SilverSneakers® warm-ups and cool-downs, refreshments, recovery tools, and health guidance will be available.
