The Vail duo demonstrated dominance on the court, finishing with a perfect 5-0 record and outscoring their opponents 75-29 throughout the tournament.

The tournament, which took place from July 24-28 at the Clement Park Pickleball Complex, attracted over 800 players competing in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles categories. The event showcased a high level of competitive play and sportsmanship.
Team Chemistry and Positive Vibes
Reflecting on the event, Jill James praised the experience of teaming up with Mink for the first time. “The Rocky Mountain Championships is a great tournament,” James said. “It was a lot of fun. Our games really complemented each other, and we had great chemistry. She’s very positive both on and off the court, which is always a big asset.”
Debbie Mink echoed the sentiment, highlighting her partner’s contributions. “My partner Jill was an amazing presence on the court, bringing her incredible skill of consistency and precision to each shot, which helped me stay calm and focus on the job of winning,” Mink said. “We were just thrilled to come out with the gold after a day of rain and high winds which even stopped play at times.”

In addition to their doubles success, Mink also competed in mixed doubles with her husband, Greg. Vail local John Donovan further represented the area by participating in men’s doubles.
