Pickle Fest in Goshen: The much-anticipated ‘Pickle Fest’ was the highlight of Goshen’s First Friday event, transforming downtown Main Street into a lively pickleball celebration. Although the citywide pickleball tournament was delayed due to weather conditions, the festivities continued to bring joy to residents.
The downtown area buzzed with activity as locals explored a variety of pickled delights. Amanda Rose, director of First Fridays, shared the excitement:
“We have two locations offering fried pickles tonight—Goshen Brewing Company and Common Spirits. You can also find a pickle cocktail at Common Spirits. We have, for the beer nerds, we’ve got a pickle beer at Elephant Bar. Then for the foodies, we’ve got pickle pretzels at JoJo’s. And we also have some fun pickle activities, so there’s some pickle coloring activity over at Phoenix Performing Arts. I hear there’s gonna be puppies there, too. Not pickle-related, but puppies.”
Despite the tournament’s postponement, the event, filled with flavorful treats and engaging activities, wrapped up successfully at 9 p.m.
