Player Insight
Katie Provenzano, an enthusiastic participant, shared her experience: “What I like about it is you can count on it and plan. I get to know that at least once a week I’m gonna have an hour and a half to two hours of really good games to play my hardest.” The league’s structure ensures players stay engaged, with a tally of averages determining the top performers by the end of the month.
Finals and Tournaments
Provenzano explained, “Everybody who participated in any of those ladders can sign up for the finals. What we’ll do is we’ll group 8 to 10 players based on how they did in the ladder and they’ll do a Round Robin, which means they’ll play with each player, and whoever wins that will be the champion of that group.” The finals are set for August 26, and ties are expected due to the short four-week duration.
Upcoming Events
In addition to the Ladder League, the Ludington Area Pickleball Club hosts Ladies Round Robin on Wednesdays for advanced players and Thursdays for intermediate players at 12:30 p.m. Looking ahead, the club is preparing for the Pentwater vs. Ludington Pickleball Challenge on August 7 and the Ludington Pickleball Classic Tournament from September 6 to 8.
