New Indoor Pickleball Facility in Appleton Area: A Game-Changer for Enthusiasts

New Indoor Pickleball Facility in Appleton Area: Next Level Pickleball has established the first indoor pickleball facility in the Appleton area, providing a new venue for enthusiasts to practice their skills year-round.

Opened on July 26, the facility is located at 3025 Spirit Court, Suite 119, in Little Chute. The initiative was spearheaded by Mark Biesack and Mark Danen, with Biesack’s passion for pickleball and his background in managing rental properties serving as the driving forces behind the project.

Biesack’s interest in pickleball began several years ago when his wife gifted him a set of paddles for Father’s Day. His enthusiasm for the sport was reignited, leading him to seek a dedicated space for play.

“I fell in love with the sport very quickly, as most people do. Pickleball was actually something I played back in junior high. My parents bought me a portable set where I’d set it up everyday and go play. But I had long forgotten that, and my wife had gotten me those paddles and I was like, oh, this is probably a sport I can play because it doesn’t require a ton of athleticism. You can go out and in 10 minutes be having fun, so its really approachable.” – (Biesack)

The facility’s concept evolved from Biesack’s desire for a year-round court into a full-fledged rental facility after securing a suitable location. Biesack highlighted the growing demand for indoor pickleball courts, noting the rapid expansion of the sport’s community compared to the slower growth of indoor infrastructure.

“There’s just been more courts that keep popping up where tennis courts are being converted to multiple use, which is awesome because the pickleball community is growing very quickly, but the indoor infrastructure has not grown at the same rate to meet that. So, at some point I found a space, talked to my business partner, Mark, about it, and he said he’d love to join me on this venture. Together, he and I opened this space and plan to open additional locations as well.” – (Biesack)

The new facility features a premier court, a practice court, a high-quality ping pong table, and a demo wall with a selection of paddles available for trial. Biesack emphasized the advantage of partnerships with various vendors, allowing for a diverse range of paddles on display. Players can purchase any paddles they test directly through Next Level Pickleball.

The venue aims to offer a safe and welcoming environment for players of all ages and skill levels, including couples and families. It also provides private lessons and classes, which are available upon request or through scheduled events advertised on its Facebook page.

“Pickleball is a sport that has brought a lot of people together. The social aspect of pickleball is one of the most attractive things about it. It has that cohesive built-in friendship and it’s very welcoming, so helping to build the infrastructure that can continue to foster that through the months that people can’t be outside is something that’s important.” – (Biesack)

Memberships start at $10 per month or $110 annually. More details are available on Next Level Pickleball’s Facebook page and website for court reservations.
