Seeley Lions Club Pickleball Tournament: The fourth annual Seeley Lions Club Pickleball Tournament wrapped up on Sunday, August 4, at Silverthorn Lake Park. The event drew a record number of participants and was a lively celebration, filled with camaraderie and competition.
A Growing Event with Record Participation
Silverthorn Lake Park was abuzz with excitement as 72 players, the largest group in the tournament’s history, took to the courts. The age range of competitors was as diverse as ever, spanning from 11 to 81 years old. Among the highlights was seventh-grader Aurora Giagnoni, who, alongside her father, emerged victorious in the Emerging Mixed Doubles category.
High-Level Play and Community Spirit
Throughout the weekend, the tournament showed impressive play across all levels. Spectators and players enjoyed numerous long rallies and tightly contested matches. The atmosphere was one of friendly competition, with participants expressing their gratitude to the Seeley Lions Club for organizing such a well-run event. Special thanks were extended to Judy and Tom Rowley, whose efforts ensured the tournament’s smooth operation.
