New Pickleball Court Coming to Greenwood Park: The Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation Department has started a significant $100,000 enhancement to Greenwood-William Peters Town Park, spotlighting a blend of modern play facilities and upcoming recreational additions.

Playground Overhaul: A Community Boost

Recent upgrades include the installation of a new playground designed for children aged two to twelve. The enhancements feature:

  • 2 Swing Sets
  • 1 Baby Swing Set
  • 1 ADA Inclusive Spinner
  • 2 Play Panels
  • 1 Concrete Cornhole Board Set
  • 1 Turf Play Mound
  • 4 ADA Picnic Tables

These additions provide safety and accessibility, including ADA wood mulch and access ramps.

Pickleball Court Conversion: What to Expect

The Caddo Parish Parks department is also transforming an existing tennis court into a pickleball court. The project, currently being reviewed by ‘TBA Studio,’ includes developing the scope of work, managing bids, and overseeing construction. The public bid opening is slated for September 12th, with the pickleball court expected to be completed by Fall 2024.
