New Pickleball Complex Opens in Valdosta: South Georgia is making a significant leap forward in the world of sports with the grand opening of its first indoor pickleball facility. Winnersville Pickleball, located in Valdosta’s old Ashley Furniture building, is set to become the region’s premier destination for pickleball enthusiasts.

Founders and Vision

The facility is the brainchild of three dedicated individuals: Thomas Provost, a former Valdosta State tennis champion; Chris Connell, the owner of Your Life Agency, a local Medicare brokerage; and Magnus Fortunat from Houston, Texas. Their combined expertise and passion for the sport have brought this vision to life, providing a state-of-the-art venue for pickleball players of all levels.

Facility Features

Winnersville Pickleball boasts eight indoor pickleball courts, designed to offer optimal playing conditions year-round. The facility will also feature a pro shop stocked with the latest paddles, free clinics for beginners, and even a Dippin’ Dots stand for a sweet treat after matches. Membership options are available, but non-members can also enjoy access to the facility.

Community Invitation

The public is invited to explore Winnersville Pickleball during its open house on Friday, August 23, and Saturday, August 24, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. This free event offers a first look at the facility’s amenities and opportunities to experience the new space.

Grand Opening

The official grand opening, marking the beginning of regular operating hours, will commence on September 3. This milestone event will set the stage for a new era of pickleball in South Georgia.
