Pickleball Tournament at Johnstown YMCA: As pickleball enthusiasts gear up for the fall season, the Greater Johnstown YMCA is poised to host its much-anticipated tournament on September 28 and 29, 2024. This event is expected to attract players from various skill levels, providing a platform for competitive play and community engagement.

Tournament Details

The tournament will commence with registration at 7:30 a.m. on September 28, followed by the start of games at 8 a.m. Participants will compete in two main categories: Men’s/Women’s Doubles on Saturday and Mixed Doubles on Sunday. The event will be divided into skill levels ranging from 3.0 to 5.0, and the format will feature round-robin play with a minimum of five games guaranteed per event.

Registration and Fees

Registration is managed through Pickleball Den. The cost for entry is $40 for the first event and an additional $10 for any extra events. Players are encouraged to secure their spots by scanning the QR code provided on the registration page. The tournament will offer a total of $2,500 in cash prizes, heightening the competitive stakes.

Additional Information

Participants who register by September 13 will receive a free dry-fit shirt, available in both men’s and women’s sizes. Lunch will be provided to all competitors. Games will be played using the Onix Fuse Indoor ORANGE Pickleball, and players are advised not to wear orange clothing to prevent any confusion.
