Brentwood Fire & Rescue (BFR) units were dispatched to the scene following reports of a cardiac arrest. Upon arrival, they found the patient conscious and under the care of two pickleball players who had stepped in to provide critical assistance.

Witnesses reported that the player collapsed while playing, prompting two nearby participants to immediately begin CPR. They utilized a nearby Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to administer a shock, which played a crucial role in the patient’s recovery. Just before BFR and EMS arrived, the patient regained consciousness.

The patient was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital by Williamson Health EMS, where they underwent a successful cardiac stent placement.
