Love4Kids Fundraiser Pickleball Tournament at Cohasset Golf Club

Love4Kids Fundraiser Pickleball Tournament: The third annual Love4Kids fundraiser returns on Friday, September 6, at the Cohasset Golf Club, showing a dynamic array of activities to support Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH). Founded by Cohasset residents Betsy Cornell Aceto and Casey Cameron, the event is expanding its focus this year with the introduction of a new pickleball tournament, complementing the traditional tennis round-robin.

New Pickleball Tournament

This year, pickleball enthusiasts will have their spotlight at the Scituate Racquet & Fitness Club (SRF), marking a new addition to the Love4Kids lineup. The pickleball tournament will feature multiple matches throughout the day, offering players of all skill levels a chance to participate in a competitive yet enjoyable format.

The event is designed to be inclusive, with no partner required and a fast-paced structure that allows participants to play several mini-matches within a two-hour period. While the tennis segment has reached capacity, pickleball registration remains open, promising an exciting new dimension to the fundraiser.

Event Highlights

Following the pickleball action, attendees will transition to an evening reception at the Cohasset Golf Club from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The reception includes a catered dinner, music, and dancing, along with a silent auction and raffle featuring a range of exclusive items and experiences.

The event offers a unique opportunity for pickleball players and enthusiasts to mingle and enjoy the festive atmosphere, all while supporting a critical cause.

Beneficiaries and Impact

Proceeds from the Love4Kids fundraiser will support three underfunded programs at BCH: the Behavioral Health Integration Program (BHIP), Robert’s Program, and the Center for Advanced Intestinal Rehabilitation (CAIR).

The BHIP focuses on integrating behavioral health services into primary care, Robert’s Program provides support for families dealing with Sudden Unexpected Death in Pediatrics (SUDP), and CAIR offers life-saving treatments for patients with advanced gastrointestinal failure.

Quote from Caitlin Pinard

“Love4Kids is the perfect opportunity to galvanize a community around a world-class facility we have in our own backyards. This year we are so grateful to be able to support the Robert’s Program at BCH. They are one of the few dedicated programs in the country researching Sudden Unexpected Death in Childhood (SUDC).” – (Caitlin Pinard)

“Which is the fourth leading cause of death in children ages 1-4 years, yet most people have never even heard of it. Through this event, we are able to raise awareness around rare disease research and promote progress and prevention in fields of science that do not always get highlighted. We can’t wait for you to join us on this special night!” – (Caitlin Pinard)
