New Pickleball Courts in Beaver Dam: In Beaver Dam, the official ribbon cutting for the JM Kastenmeier Pickleball Courts took place Wednesday evening. The event celebrated the efforts of donors, volunteers, committee members, and city officials who contributed to the successful completion of the project.
Team Effort and Community Support
Beaver Dam Pickleball Committee Member Abbi Linde emphasized the collaborative nature of the project. “The donors and the city and everyone that came together to raise the money for this, really kicked it into gear last year,” Linde noted, highlighting the collective effort that made the courts a reality.
Future Plans and Excitement
Looking ahead, Linde expressed enthusiasm for the future of the pickleball facilities. “So we have nine beautiful courts. This summer there are already some pickleball classes for little kiddos. So that’s already started, but we’re wanting to open it up and do more classes, definitely wanting to host tournaments.” Linde also pointed out that the courts have already attracted players from beyond Dodge County. “We’ve already had people coming not just from around Dodge County, but outside of Dodge County to come and play at our courts,” she said, underscoring the growing popularity of the facility and its potential to draw even more visitors to Beaver Dam.
