Lock Haven’s Pickleball Tournament and Planning Event Set to Begin

Lock Haven’s Pickleball Tournament: The City of Lock Haven, in collaboration with Lock Haven Area Pickleball, is set to host a pickleball tournament on Sunday, September 8, beginning at 1 p.m. The event promises to be a dynamic show of local talent, featuring a double elimination format with 16 teams competing for top honors. The tournament will end with the crowning of the champion and awards for the first, second, and third-place teams.

Community Engagement and Park Improvements

Alongside the pickleball tournament, city officials will conduct community engagement efforts aimed at gathering feedback for the planned improvements to Hanna Park. As the park is slated for enhancements, input from residents is crucial for shaping the future of this community space and supporting upcoming grant applications in 2025.

Hanna Park’s Future Upgrades

Hanna Park is among the final active parks in Lock Haven to receive significant upgrades, following recent improvements at Hoberman, Piper-Harmon, and Hammermill Parks. Roberts expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with the community to revitalize Hanna Park.
