USSP Central Zone Championship: The USSP Central Zone Championship, scheduled from September 13 to September 15, 2024, is an esteemed Age/Skill tournament catering to players aged 50 and above. The competition will feature Men’s and Women’s singles, doubles, and Mixed Doubles events.
Post-registration, the competition will be divided into 5-year age/skill brackets, with medals awarded to each category. In cases where brackets are combined for increased play, medaling will remain age/skill-specific. This structure is intended to ensure a fair and competitive environment for all participants.
USSP Central Zone Championship Tournament Format
The tournament will feature round-robin and pool play for events with 8 or more teams, followed by single elimination brackets. Each player is guaranteed a minimum of 3 matches per event, ensuring more play for their investment. This format is designed to maximize player participation and engagement throughout the event.
Additional Information
USSP employs a points system to reward the top finishers each year, exclusive to USSP members. Past annual prizes, totaling $20,000 in retail value, have been awarded to the top 10 point winners in each age group for men and women. In 2024, the points system will run from January through December. Note that no cash prizes will be awarded.
Refund Policy
Refunds are available until September 1, 2024, subject to a $15 processing fee. Emergency refunds may be granted based on documentation and approval from the tournament director.
Venue Information
The championship will take place at Oasis Pickleball Club in Rockwall, Texas. The venue features 32 outdoor pickleball hardcourts with permanent nets and uses Franklin X-40 balls. There is no parking fee at the facility.
