Miss Kentucky 2024 Hosts Pickleball Tournament: In an exciting community initiative, Miss Kentucky 2024, Chapel Tinius, is spearheading a pickleball tournament to support the American Heart Association. The tournament, set to be held on September 21st at the newly renovated Old Stone Country Club, promises to be an engaging and inclusive event for participants of all skill levels. Chapel Tinius discussed the upcoming tournament during an appearance on Midday Live, emphasizing the importance of combining fitness with philanthropy.

This past year, the Miss America Organization partnered with the American Heart Association, making heart health our national platform,” Tinius explained. “We decided to organize a pickleball tournament as a fun and active way for the community to come together and support this cause.

Pickleball, a sport that blends elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, has seen a surge in popularity across the country, including in Bowling Green. Tinius highlighted that the tournament is open to players of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced players. The event will feature divisions including 3.5 and under for beginners, as well as 3.5 and above for more experienced players.

Participants will compete in a doubles format, and registration is set at $60 per person. The tournament promises a day of competitive yet friendly play, with the beautiful Old Stone Country Club providing a picturesque backdrop.
