Pickleball Heaven Set to Transform Medford’s Sports Scene with Innovative Venue

Pickleball Heaven Set to Transform Medford: In a notable development, Pickleball Heaven will make its debut as the inaugural tenant at a newly constructed warehouse and distribution facility in Medford. The 55,709-square-foot lease at Wildflower Ltd.’s expansive 129,242-square-foot building at 645 National Blvd. marks a significant milestone for the fast-growing pickleball community.

A Unique Facility

The brainchild of Long Island entrepreneurs Don Rickey and Anthony Adler, Pickleball Heaven promises to be a groundbreaking venue. The Medford complex will boast 18 state-of-the-art pickleball courts, each featuring its own private lounge and a dedicated 90-foot video monitor. This setup allows players to view live action and instant replays of their game, enhancing the playing experience.

Amenities and Services

Beyond the courts, Pickleball Heaven will offer a 2,500-square-foot pro shop and player lockers. The venue will also include a 60-foot bar with a full kitchen and an 18-foot food truck. Long Island-based hospitality firm Never 86, led by Chris Quirke, will manage the food-and-beverage services. Quirke, known for his Wok N’ Roll and New York Panini eateries, aims to create a vibrant social atmosphere.

Training and Expansion Plans

The facility will also house an academy run by noted player and coach Ricky Mango, focusing on training and certification. Although the building was originally designed as a warehouse with features like 36-foot-clear ceilings and multiple loading docks, Wildflower Ltd. is enthusiastic about its new recreational tenant.

“We love fitness and sports at Wildflower, so we are thrilled that Pickleball Heaven is opening at Medford. We hope that other athletic-oriented facilities will choose to collocate at the project.” – (Adam Gordon, Wildflower’s managing partner)

Looking ahead, Rickey envisions expanding the Pickleball Heaven brand beyond Medford, with potential locations in Nassau County, Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and other states including Connecticut, New Jersey, and possibly Chicago.

The Medford Pickleball Heaven is slated to open this fall. For more information, visit the company’s website at thepickleballheaven.com.

Mark Pawlitschek of Compass Commercial represented Pickleball Heaven, while Frank Frizalone and John Giannuzzi of Cushman & Wakefield handled the lease transaction for Wildflower Ltd.
