Tucson Fall Pickleball Classic Set: The 2024 Tucson Fall Classic, presented by Pickleball Is Great (PIG), will take place from November 7 to November 10 at the Tucson Racquet & Fitness Club. This round-robin tournament, featuring playoffs for gold, silver, and bronze medals, will utilize the club’s 10 lighted pickleball courts.
Event Schedule
- November 7 (Thursday): 50+ Mixed Doubles
- November 8 (Friday): 50+ Men’s/Women’s Doubles
- November 9 (Saturday): Under 50 Men’s/Women’s Doubles
- November 10 (Sunday): Under 50 Mixed Doubles
Each event will follow a round-robin format with a “shootout” among the top four teams for medals. Thursday and Friday events will be organized by age and skill, while Saturday and Sunday events will be categorized by skill and age.

No membership is required to participate. Players must pay at the time of registration. Pickleball Is Great reserves the right to adjust player ratings and combine divisions as needed.
Format and Additional Information
- Three Teams: Double round-robin format, 1-15 win by 2, switch sides at 8. Top team gets a bye. Bronze match between 2nd and 3rd place teams, followed by a gold match.
- Four to Seven Teams: Games are 1-15 win by 2, switch sides at 8. Top four teams advance to playoffs with 1 vs. 4 and 2 vs. 3 matches. Winners play for gold; non-winners play for bronze.
- Eight or More Teams: Teams are split into pools. Top two from each pool advance. Crisscross playoffs determine gold and bronze medalists.
USSP Senior Days: Thursday and Friday. Format is Age/Skill with five-year breaks. No membership required, but a USSP membership number in your profile grants a $10 refund.
Medals: One per player per event. Medals are awarded based on performance, not entry.
Refund Policy
Refunds are available up to October 25, 2024, with a $15 processing fee. Up to 50% of fees can be requested after this date, with emergency refunds subject to approval. Up to 50% refunds may be given for weather-related cancellations, with attempts to play all matches scheduled for a day in case of delays.
