Pictona Generations Pickleball Tournament Details

  • Dates: October 26-27, 2024
  • Location: Pictona at Holly Hill, Florida
  • Format: Round-robin play, guaranteeing a minimum of four matches per team

On Saturday, October 26, players will compete in mixed doubles (male and female pairs) with split-age brackets at skill levels 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5+. Age brackets include 30/50, 40/60, and 50/70 splits, where partners must span the designated age ranges. For example, a 30/50 split requires one player to be 30 or younger and their partner to be 50 or older.

Sunday, October 27, will feature gender doubles, with men and women competing separately in combined age categories of 60+, 100+, and 130+, also at skill levels 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5+. Teams must meet or exceed the total age requirement for their category. For instance, a team in the 130+ category might have one player aged 60 and another aged 70, or any combination that meets the age threshold.

Prize Pool and Exciting Features

A new $2,000 prize pool has been announced, with $1,000 awarded each day. All gold medal-winning teams will be entered into a draw, with one lucky team’s name being selected after the final match of the day. The winners do not need to be present to claim their prize.

Many top-level matches will take place on the MetroHealth Championship Court, featuring referees, lively announcers, and live scoring on LED scoreboards. Gold medal matches will also have dedicated referees, ensuring a competitive and fair environment.

Players can register for the tournament with a $40 fee until September 29, 2024. After this date, the registration fee increases to $60. Each event entry is an additional $20. Participants will receive a dry-fit tournament shirt with their admission.
