Lake Hallie’s Pickleball Complex Expansion: The Chippewa Valley Pickleball Club, in collaboration with the Village of Lake Hallie, continues to enhance the pickleball experience at Gower Park’s expanding complex.
Originally designed to feature six courts, the project has evolved significantly, now boasting a total of 18 courts. This makes it the largest pickleball facility in Wisconsin. Despite the current availability of the courts, construction is still underway.
Enhancements in Progress
Bill Bethke, the project director, detailed ongoing improvements, including the addition of a pavilion and lighting. These upgrades aim to enhance community access and extend playing hours.
“The courts are free to all. So, the goal of this was a gift to the Chippewa Valley as well as tourism. The pickleball sport itself is the fastest growing sport three years in a row.” – (Bethke)
Upcoming Events
In a significant boost for the complex, Bethke announced that it will host a Professional Pickleball Association tournament in July. This event will attract top players to the region, further highlighting the facility’s growing prominence in the pickleball community.
