On Court Adventures Pickleball Tournament: The On Court Adventures 1 Day Men’s Doubles Tournament is scheduled for September 14, 2024, at the Mesa Tennis & Pickleball Center at Gene Autry Park, located at 4125 E McKellips Rd, Mesa, Arizona, 85215. This morning round-robin tournament, featuring a non-elimination format, will start at 7:00 AM. Players are required to check in by 6:30 AM.
The tournament is expected to last approximately three hours, concluding around 10:00 AM. Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each bracket. Light snacks and bottled water will be available while supplies last.
Registration and Fees
Registration for the tournament requires each player to sign up individually, with fees applied per player rather than per team. If one player fails to register within five days, the other player will be placed on a waiting list. Both players will be notified via email in such instances. The second player will only be added to the event if space remains available upon registration.
Prize Medals and Scoring
Prize medals will be awarded according to the International Federation of Pickleball (IFP) Rulebook Standard:
- Total Matches Won (12.C.3.a)
- Head-to-Head Matches Won (12.C.3.b)
- Point Differential of All Games Played (12.C.3.c)
- Head-to-Head Point Differential (12.C.3.d)
- Point Differential Against Next-Highest Team (for tie-breaking).
DUPR Rating Requirement
To participate in this and future tournaments, players must have a DUPR account. New users can create an account through the provided link while existing users should connect their account through Pickleball.com. Matches completed from today onward will be automatically processed for ratings, but prior matches can be manually entered on the DUPR website.
Refund Policy
The outdoor event does not offer make-up dates. In the event of inclement weather leading to cancellations, refunds will not be available. Players may withdraw and receive a refund until September 7, 2024, at 5 PM by emailing tournaments@oncourtadventures.com. It is important to note that the $5 service fee charged by Pickleball Brackets is non-refundable.
Venue Information
The tournament will be hosted on the outdoor hardcourts at Mesa Tennis & Pickleball Center at Gene Autry Park. The facility features 21 courts with permanent and portable nets, using Selkirk Pro S1 balls. Parking is available at no fee.
